2011 NICU Reunion

We're so proud of our little graduate and how far she has come - you'd never know she was a NICU baby!

We had a wonderful trip to Burlington last weekend for the NICU Reunion Picnic.  Thank you to Grammie and Pa for coming along.  We drove up Saturday afternoon so we could relax for the night.  Grammie and Mommy enjoyed massages on Church Street before heading to the hotel.  We had fun visits with Caroline, Caleb, and Esme that evening and the next morning before heading over to the picnic.  It was so good to see them and watch Stella and Esme interact!

Thank you to the NICU Staff at Fletcher Allen for making this special event possible.  We really enjoyed catching up with everyone!

Stella In The Kitchen

Although we haven't planted our own garden yet lots of people generously share their fresh vegetables with us so this weekend Mom and Stella made some zucchini bread.  Stella wasn't as interested in pouring ingredients into the bowl as we would have thought, but she did have fun trying to stir.

Since Mom had to work a few hours this weekend and Dad was at a golf tournament Miss Whitney came to play with Stella Sunday morning.  They played outside and had so much fun Stella had to take a cat nap before lunch!

Our family will be heading to Burlington next weekend for the annual NICU Reunion picnic.  We are looking forward to seeing so many people we connected with during our long stay last year.  Since we'll probably be returning to NY late Sunday night we expect to take a week off from blogging.  Stay tuned the following week for a new post and some pics from our trip!

Summer Showers

This weekend was full of showers: on Saturday we went to a baby shower and on Sunday a bridal shower.  Stella had fun at both playing with new kids and new toys!

This was also the weekend of the Tri-Town Summer Festival so our family went to the Saturday morning parade together.  While waiting patiently for the parade to pass our street Daddy and Stella checked out all of the weekend festivities on the arena lawn and brought mom back some fried dough - a yummy treat for all of us to share.

Stella also got to play with her cousin Jordan this weekend who was visiting from Ohio.  This was another great opportunity for her to learn about what sharing means.

We have posted some photos from this past week of Stella on her bike and playing in her sand box.  She always has lots of fun outside!
