It's been weeks since our blog has been updated so there's lots to share! Here's some of what we've been up to:
Today we not only celebrated Grandma's birthday, we celebrated her upcoming retirement too. Walt threw a beautiful party in her honor and everyone had a fun time!
It can be difficult to buy gifts sometimes and Pinterest never seems to disappoint with unique ideas. We all worked on putting this gift basket together for Grammie - some of which she will share with Pa.
Parent-Teacher conferences again has made us super proud parents. Both girls are doing wonderful in school both academically and socially. We are so pleased they have both adjusted to school and enjoy it so much. We took some pics while we were in the building. Both girls love to run, and that makes mama's heart happy! It will be fun to see if they continue to love this as they get older and begin to think about whether or not they will be high school athletes.

Both girls were honored at the first Student of the Quarter ceremony. Their teachers emphasized how helpful both Stella and Claire are in the classroom. We are so glad they both love their teachers and are proud they are good role models at school.
Although regular season basketball has begun for the older kids, a few parents volunteered to keep youth basketball going. The girls enjoy getting into the gym to learn different basketball drills, and especially to run. They both love running around the gym!

Halloween Fun!
Grammie and Pa came over on Halloween again this year - one of our favorite traditions. The girls did very little trick-or-treating though. Not only was it cold out, and Stella doesn't much care for candy, they are able to see lots of their friends from school if they stick around and hand out candy. We're pretty sure we had around 200 visitors this year and it was a fun night!

We made a trip to Ogdensburg for Aunt Linda's 70th Birthday party. It was a beautiful fall day and nice to see some family friends!
