November 2019

Disguise a Turkey homework
as a blue sourpatch kid!
November seems like forever ago today as I try to catch up our blog.  Thankfully google archives our pics to refresh our memory!  Here's some of our happenings from then:

Finding an 'Attitude of Gratitude' this month

Trying out House League Basketball

Turkey Bingo with Girl Scouts
Sledding Fun with Scouts too!

Both girls were honored at the Student of the Quarter SLC Elementary Awards.  We are super proud of them for finding social graces and being positive role models at school.

The grown ups took a night away to visit Montreal and see a NHL game with friends.
Celebrating Grammie's Birthday

Frozen II with Makala and Bri!

We were blessed to have the Hooley's visit NY to spend Thanksgiving with us.  The cousins just absolutely love spending time together and it was nice for the adults to catch up. We found lots of things to do during their short visit including going ice skating, painting, visiting Timmy and Trey's spots, making cookies, and dancing/cheering.

We rounded out November with another Girl Scout Troop activity - the Santa parade at the Massena Mall.  This was a small event but ushering Santa into the Mall for the first time of the season was a fun way to mark the beginning of this most special time of year.

In the spirit of the topic of Thanksgiving, this year the girls and I are so very thankful to have Randy/Daddy home more this year.  The decision for him to take a step away from BMC basketball was not made lightly.  Sometimes the things or people we love most in life do not surround us with the positive energy that keeps us healthy and thriving.  When you are faced with this, taking a step back is one of the healthiest actions you can take.  Randy knows how to surround himself with what builds him up as a person.  He is a better husband, father, friend, brother and teacher because of his willingness to prioritize this, no matter the cost.  While we watch him miss the gym, some of his players, and the game so very much, we are so thankful for the stability and strength he continues to bring to our family.
