Happy New Year 2021!

 We rang in the New Year with a sleepover at the McCarthy's filled with fun and games!

As we all eagerly celebrate moving out the old and bringing in the new, here are 20 awesome things from 2020:

1. Trey's Tree turned 10!  We continue to enjoy seeing the growth of this tree from year to year!
2. Randy secured not 1, but 2 grants for students in his district in 2020!
3. Stella started taking piano lessons again.
4. Both girls discovered a love for Tumbling!
5. We installed a basketball pad in our backyard and are looking forward to lots of hoops in our future!
6. We finally got a storage shed for our backyard, to free up some space in our garage.
7. We celebrated my 40th birthday and discovered we really like Killington and want to visit again!
8. Stella moved-up from Elementary school and started Middle School!
9. Claire discovered how much she loves gaming, and has gotten the whole family involved (well, I'm        not really, but she did convince me to join in once!)
10. We celebrated the County Fair COVID Edition in our backyard!
11. Randy made lots and lots of face shield frames to donate to our local hospitals.
12. The girls tried Donnelly's Ice Cream for the first time ever!
13. Stella had her stage debut with the school musical 'Mary Poppins'!
14. Our family won an SLC Game Night - Kahoot Trivia!
15. We saw Disney on Ice with Grammie and Papa (pre-pandemic of course...)!
16. We went strawberry picking for the first time ever.
17. Claire got her first locker at school!
18. We purchased our first family golf membership - to Meadowbrook Golf Course for 2021!
19. We missed Calypso so much we planned a trip to Jay Peak waterpark with the Austin's and
       William's families instead!
20. Daddy installed a utility sink in the basement, and the girls created a craft corner freeing up the
      kitchen table from on-going arts and crafts projects.

We are wishing all of our friends and family a Happy New Year!  

Despite any good fortune from 2020, I think it goes without
saying we are ALL happy to give a toast to 2021!

We filled December with lots of holiday activities, despite the changes to our lives through the pandemic.  Here's s glimpse of some of the Christmas magic at our house!

Claire was recognized for an SLC Character Academy award.  We are so proud of both our girls for their dedication to their school work during this time, and hearing Claire tell us about the classroom ceremony this year was such an unexpected surprise.

Christmas was different this year for sure.  But, we had an awesome day!  We saw Grammie and Papa and our Aunt's, Uncle's and Cousins through a Christmas afternoon Zoom gathering, where we played some trivia and shared a gift we received.  We shared a Christmas Ham dinner together, and played board games.  We are so very blessed and our hearts are full!
