NYC Spring Break Trip

We talked about getting away for Spring Break for a while and ended up deciding on taking a trip to NYC. After sharing a meal with extended family on Easter, we traveled to Vermont for the night to catch an early train the next morning. We had a relaxing dinner out at 99's and then got some rest before our travel day.

While taking the train from Essex, VT is a bit longer than the Albany route, it was less time driving in the car and the Vermonter line has a Cafe Car. This longer train ride made for an adventure all its own to get in and out of the city.

When we arrived to the city we had a long walk to the hotel but were happy to get some walking in after a long day of riding the train.

We opted not to venture out too far having gotten into the city pretty late so we went across the street to the Urban Market Food Court for some dinner. Claire tried vegan chicken nuggets but didn't love them!

We had a very busy whirlwind three days in Manhatten. Here's some of the fun:

Krispy Kreme for Breakfast

A visit to the Central Park Zoo:

The American Museum of Natural History:

The M&M and Disney Stores:

Aladdin on Broadway!

Juniors for a (very) late dinner and Cheesecake:

Big Bus Tours

Room Service breakfast after a late night and before another long day:

Liberty Island:

Empire State Building

Times Square:

Dave & Busters for Dinner and Arcade Games, while Mom and Dad rested their tired feet!

Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station:

It was a spectacular trip and we were so grateful to have the opportunity to show our girls something a lot different from what they are used to. They both liked visiting the City but for now say they are Country Girls!
