New Year's 2023

We made a last minute decision to visit Ottawa with Tim and Gina to ring in the New Year! We arrived early evening on New Year's Eve and had dinner at Heart & Crown Irish Pub, visited Parliament Hill, and stopped for sweet treats at Casa di Moni on the way back to the hotel before getting settled in for the countdown. We ended up watching lots of Practical Jokers and having lots of laughs while we waited!

Claire's first Gelato - she loved it!
The Matcha Latte wasn't as expected though!

The next day we walked around the Byward Market, visited the Notre Dame Cathedral, explored the National Gallery of Canada, and had lunch at the Blue Cactus before heading to a Senators NHL game.

The next morning on the way home we stopped at Cora's in Cornwall for brunch. This was such a fun way to wrap up our holiday break! We are looking forward to all that is waiting for us in 2023!

December 2022

 Children's Church Activities:

Claire-Bear cut her hair - a lot of it! She rocks the short look and really loves it!

Holiday Festivities:

The girls made exchanged DIY Advent Calendars with neighbor friends. One morning Stella's surprise was a glitter bomb!

Sickness hit  our house hard early in the month
and both girls were out for the count! Stella missed
2 and Claire 4 days of school. They had high fevers
and were simply exhausted. We are so glad it was short
and they didn't share with their parents!

Basketball:

Mom's work friends had dinner out and Samantha joined us for a sleepover:

Winter Band & Chorus Concert

Making holiday gifts and treats for teachers, and putting together dessert tins for neighbors and friends:

Christmas finally came! While the girls are getting older they still love the exctiment of Christmas morning. We had planned to attend morning worship but a storm resulted in a travel ban on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! While we missed seeing folks, we also didn't mind being stuck at home together!

Daddy engraved these metal butterflies as a special
momento for the girls.

Enjoying activities and time with friends during the holidays:
