Stella and Claire were both in SLC's spring musical The Wizard of Oz. It was an awesome show and they both enjoyed being involved. Mom helped with cast meals during show week and loved seeing all of the students together working hard on the show!
Stella was a polisher, Claire was a crow, and both girls were Ozian's. They each had unique parts and did a spectacular job on stage! It was obvious how much fun they had with their classmates too!
Sadly, the girls went through a surprise announcement this month when they learned their band teacher would be moving on to another job. Mr. Snyder gave both girls their start with percussion and Stella in particular spends a lot of time in the band room. This news came with lots of tears but we know will bring growth too as these kinds of life changes will continue to happen throughout their lives. A huge shout-out to Mr. Snyder for being such a great supporter of our kiddos - we hope he knows how much he'll be missed!
Since it's musical season we checked out a few other schools:
Grease @ Norwood-Norfolk
and Damn Yankees at Canton with Grammie and Aunt Pat, Haley, and Skye
Pike's Place is trying to host events for our community so brought an improv comedy troupe, Completely Stranded, to town. Mom and Dad had a date night out with friends and had lots of laughs!
Stella had the opportunity to have a short piece of writing featured in this 'Twisted Tales' edition of spooky story starters:
