July 2023

We went to the mall the morning we headed out of Michigan so we could check out the Cheesecake Factory brunch. It was awesome! And of course, the girls always enjoy the escalator! 😂

One more photo opp at an On Route!

The girls and I traveled to Coubourg Beach and stayed two nights at an Airbnb by the beach. We had a nice little visit and even explored a local art store. We had breakfast out, and went grocery shopping to make dinner at the rental house.

At the art store, deciding what to buy making sure they stay on budget. They even tried to calculate the exchange rate!

We finished our vacation with a day at Calypso and dinner at Eastside Mario's in Cornwall!
After a week with Randy coaching a highschool overnight camp in Michigan, the girls were excited to welcome daddy home and celebrate his birthday so they decorated the house and made him some themed cupcakes!

It was a quick weekend for Randy at home -  he and the girls headed out Sunday morning to Vermont with some other Brasher friends for another week of PGC, a day-camp in Essex. Aimee Perry was kind enough to offer to stay the week with the girls at an Airbnb and take them for some outings, like a Lake Monsters Game, and to the movies to see Elemental!

I joined my mom for Monday night Bingo since all of the family was away! We won on a tear ticket too!

I was pretty ecstatic to have Randy home, even for just a few days!

I have been a long supported of the Wait Until 8th campaign for smart phones and we made it though what did seem like a long wait! But, now that Stells is about to be in 8th grade, we've given her a phone. It was not without a set of expectations though that she had to agree to!

Girl Scout Outing - preparing sit-upon buckets
for the end of the summer trip

Stella was home for a quick weekend and then headed off to another camp - this time Horizon's overnight STEM program at Clarkson University. This meant Claire was home for a week with her parents!

Game night

At the end of the week we were able to see the project Stella worked on during camp - they worked on developing a town with sustainable businesses.

After having a week at home, Randy headed out again, this time with Stella, to Waterloo, Ontario outside of Tornto for another week of overnight PGC. Claire stayed busy attending Theater and Arts Camp at SUNY Potsdam with Madilyn. We filled our week with other things too, like hanging out at Softball with the Austins, picking our first crop from the garden, and Claire went to the drive-in movie with friends.

Tri-Town Summerfest was fun as usual, but this year Randy and I headed out of town after the color-run to go to Pete and Taylor's wedding while the girls stayed the weekend at the Austins.

With Randy home for just one week before heading into August and being back on the road we took a night out for Margaritas! Cactus Grill never disappoints!

A winter storm brings down a tree on our propery while Randy is out of town! What to do?! Call the Brasher highway department, who immediately gets to work and cleans up the mess. We were so grateful for their help!

Stella and I ventured to the Northern Border to head across Canada to meet up with Randy and Claire at the end of the month.
