An Adventure

This week Stella had her 5 year well-child check-up and she's doing great!  Not only is she caught up to her peers, she is in the 73rd percentile for her height - unlikely  for a preemie, especially one with a short family!  We are so grateful for her good health!

Although Stella began another ballet class this weekend we were all eager to find something fun to do.  Daddy suggested we go on an adventure so we crossed the border and looked for something fun to do in Canada.  The indoor splash pad we considered visiting was closed, but the McDonald's PlayPlace was a huge hit with the girls.  Then we had dinner out before heading back.  Stella told us the adventure was so much fun!  We realize how crazy it is to go to another country to visit McDonald's, but it's so close and the play area is such a fun treat for the kiddos!

A Long Weekend

Painting Together

Claire's been a bit under the weather this week so having an additional day at home to sleep in was an extra treat for all of us.  We stayed home on Friday too to rest, but the cold she has is sticking around.  Luckily it's not getting worse in any way and seems to be keeping away from her lungs!

Mommy needed to stop by the jewelry store this weekend  so we got out of the  house and had some arcade fun while we were at the mall!

Post-Vacation Blues

Playing Dress-Up with Esme!

It's been a less than ideal week at the Todd house this week with Mommy and Daddy feeling a bit under the weather and all of us trying to get back into our usual routine.  Volunteering in Burlington for the weekend was a welcomed distraction!  It was a quiet visit which was nice as we try to make the transition from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and settle in for the next few months of cold weather and basketball.

Happy 5th Birthday Stella!

This week we celebrated Stella's 5th Birthday!  We can hardly believe how much time has passed since we became parents.  Stella wanted to have a Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party this year and spent lots of time making decorations and helping Mommy with the preparations.  She was quite the little party planner!

Our Birthday Girl!

The party was full of crafting fun - something Stella just loves to do!  We also played a pin the hat on Strawberry game, and a Strawberry freeze dance!
Aunt MJ brought the cake.  Stella reminded her to make
vanilla since Neice is allergic to chocolate!

Fruit Loop Necklaces and Bracelets!
Stella colored lots of pages and helped Mommy and Grammie
tape them to three tables for decorations.

Other Fun this Week:

Spashing in the hot tub!
The Hooley's weren't feeling well last weekend when we planned to celebrate Christmas together so they visited this weekend instead.  We were so glad they made the trip and although it was a short stay it was full of fun!  We spent several hours with them on Thursday night and then went to Grammie and Pa's to have a sleepover on Saturday.  Our girls love playing with their cousins and stayed up later this week than they ever have before!  Claire played 'til she dropped and the rest of the girls played until the grownups tired out!
