Easter 2018

We were so fortunate to have our cousins visit over Easter Weekend this year.  Being in different states, all of our spring breaks fall at different times.  The Hooley's began the week before Easter, the Perrin's began Good Friday, and ours is not until late April.  The girls made overlapping plans so we could all be together for this special time of year!  Here are some pics of our time together:

The girls had a snow day this month and were so excited to show me all of the activities they did while I was at work.  They not only worked on some science experiments, they made puppets and put on a show (a trip to the Zoo) for me the moment I got home!

Another fashion show for Mom to enjoy - this one complete with a runway and some awesome music found on youtube.  These girls are so creative, yet so very different!  I think these pics capture their little personalities well:

It's AAU season, which means daddy is busy with tournament concessions!  The girls love to go hang out.  Stella wants to help work, while Claire finds ways to occupy herself:

Lately, it's LOL everything!  Even Stella has taken to these surprise dolls.  Every bit of allowance, plus some earned money, seems to be devoted to these toys.  They are even wild about this LOL board game.
This month, SLC Elementary hosted a family math night.  Daddy and Stella navigated the 2nd grade pathway, while Mommy and Claire worked our way through the 1st grade pathway.  We brought home an entire packet of different games you can play with just a simple deck of cards.  This will be a great way to pass the time on our summer RV trip!  And, the girls had fun collecting Easter Eggs as they played various games.  Thank you SLC!

This month we were saddened by the news that Pastor Dan would be moving to Plattsburgh.  Not only have the girls been entertained by his enthusiasm at AWANA, but he's also their private music instructor.  They were both sad when we told them about this news.  Although it took a few days for it to sink in.  Claire wasn't bothered by not having guitar lessons, which wasn't a surprise to us, but a few days later when she asked "Mom, what about AWANA", it was evident his departure will impact both girls, although perhaps in different ways.  Stella made him a goodbye gift and he stopped by one last time.  We wish him well with his new congregation and this next chapter!  I've promised to find a new piano teacher for Stella so she can keep going but Claire will likely find another hobby!
