February 2018

February came and went!  There was lots of fun, including Winter break!

Wyatt's Pool Party Birthday Celebration @ Roo's House

Visiting with cousins @ Aunt Heather's in Canton

Children's Church Fun!
Singing 'This Little Light of Mine'
during worship

Goofy Girl!
We were greeted by these gems each day for several weeks.
They weren't easy to take down!
For 100's day this year Claire dressed up as a 100-year old.  Stella did this last year so Claire had been waiting and planned her outfit!

Sleepover fun with Gianna and Cambria:

Our Tri-Town Winter Carnival was again lots of fun!  The girls enjoyed the parade, where they gathered lots of candy, and Daddy took the girls to the carnival of fun at the school while Mommy and Kathleen tried out the Wine Relay @ High Peaks!
We renovated our large living room last year and despite our attempt at making this a space for grown-ups, the girls have spread out plenty of toys among other things (there's currently a giant box fort taking up an entire corner...).  One afternoon I was cleaning things out and moved their doll castle.  They haven't played with it in a long time so it was nice to see Claire so excited it had a new home she wanted to play with it again.

Play date fun with the DeShane's over Winter Break:

A quick overnight in Plattsburgh to shop at Target and Claire's, swim at the hotel splash pad, have dinner out, and play arcade games.

Floor Pong @ Target

New Outfit!

First Shirley Temple
(but she didn't like it...)
We gave each girl $20 to spend on whatever they wanted for this trip.  They were so excited to shop at Target!  Unfortunately for Claire there were no LOL dolls at target though.  We did find some at Claire's, but since they were several dollars more than usual, Claire-Bear was unwilling to spend her own money to buy one.  This was a proud parenting moment as we try to teach our girls about the value of a dollar.  Stella was super excited to pick out some clothes on this trip too.  Apparently she's always wanted a long skirt and was thrilled to pick one out.  She's outgrowing her spring rain coat and while we didn't find one this trip, we did find a jean jacket which she also loved.

We had a few days of warmth when the snow melted and the kids played outdoors.  They were sad it didn't last and are ready for Winter to be over (Mom and Dad are too!).

The girls have taken to writing notes and here's a sample!

Stella had a terrible cough for a few days so we gave her some breathing treatments to see if they would help.  They didn't.  Daddy took her to the pediatrician and they suggested we just let it run its course.  She's super flexible with colds and rarely complains so thankfully this didn't keep her from school or other activities.  We continue to be watchful of her during cold and flu season but she's a healthy girl and so is her sister!
