Memorial Day and a Wedding

We continued our annual tradition on Memorial Day of heading to Canton to participate in the VFW's festivities.  Our family walked in the parade and the girls had fun handing out patriotic themed bubbles and stickers to children watching.

Our little community is lucky to have such a beautiful park in the center of town to have a service to honor our fallen soldiers.  We also have some talent and were blessed with some special music!

After the parade we enjoyed a quiet lunch together and then headed to the cemetery to plant flowers.  Then we visited at grammie and pa's for a while.  It was a lovely afternoon.

After 16 years, MJ and Neil decided to get married.  Our girls had such a fun time and have even played "wedding" since!  Here are some pics from the special day:

They even let Claire-Bear cut the cake!  They both knew she'd be asking to have a piece from the moment she saw it, which she did!

Congratulations Aunt MJ and Uncle Neil!
