Trey continues to slide downhill as he attempts to recover from his high-flow trials and withstand the last of his systemic steroid treatment. As the Neonatal Fellow Kendra says 'the honeymoon is over'. Because Trey's status is so much worse than a week ago, the neonatal team has devised a plan if he doesn't start to come out of the slump. We would advance to another type of breathing aid and begin a long term steroid treatment. In reality there isn't much we can do for Trey so we are just asking that everyone prays for our little guy. We believe in him and are hoping that we can avoid another round of steroids.
Miss Stella is doing well, weighing in at 5 lbs. 11 1/2 oz. She spent some time with Grandma Todd today who is visiting Burlington to help out while Randy is home.

So sorry to hear Trey isnt progressing well, Our thoughts and prayers are with him. Stay strong. Glad Stella is growing so well, Ty was 6 lbs yesterday and got his two month vaccinations. With the O2 and the monitor he is not very portable...needless to say we cannot go anywhere unless there are two of us to carry everything :)Happy to hear that family has been there to visit, it makes the whole situation easier when you have someone else to lean on, even for a little bit. I have been following your blog since the beginning, and I know I don't comment ever, but I want you to know that Jer and I are really praying for your beautiful twins. I know Stella is doing great and out of the hospital, FANTASTIC! We have high hopes that Trey will fight his way through this.. we had a bad hit with the honeymoon period too! We are praying that he will pull through this and join Stella at home soon.
